TravTab is a white label service for Travel Agencies & Tour Operators to offer their customers the most convenient & time saving way to pay off their holiday booking balance. Travellers can make a once off payment or schedule payments towards the holiday cost, this eliminates the need for excessive calls, inconvenient in-store visits and emails to their travel agent.

Product Design

Together with the TravTab team, we worked to form an understanding of the problem we are solving. This allowed us to define the solution and start to build out the workflows to accomplish it.

Moving from these workflows we started to build up wireframes. Wireframes are generated for the purpose of arranging elements to best accomplish the particular task. These also provide a visual representation of the workflows.

Visual Design & Prototype

Working together with the branding of TravTab, we started to create the high fidelity visual designs of the product. Visual design aims to shape and improve the user experience through considering the effects of illustrations, photography, typography, space, layouts, and color on the usability of products and on their aesthetic appeal.

We then generate a interactive prototype based on these designs to get our first representation of the polished product. We use this prototype to demonstrate the product to potiental customers and interact on the design based on their feedback.

Platforms for Web, iOS & Android

In order to provide the best user experience to TravTab's customer, we selected to build the iOS and Android applications natively. We selected different measurement tools within these applications to understand how the customers were reacting to the product.

The customer applications interfaced with TravTab's agency and administration dashboard through a Ruby/Rails RESTful API. This provided TravTab with a scaleable solution for growth whilst also providing the agencies with a powerful dashboard.

The Result

TravTab continues to gain traction in the travel payments market with new agencies joining the platform continually. With digital travel sales worldwide growing from $565B in 2017 to an estimated $818B in 2020, there are no signs of this growth slowing down.

MiniCorp have provided TravTab with a scalable solution with a great foundation that will allow it to continue to grow far into the future.
